Diabetes and Soup Kitchens

Soup is currently provided at Stonebridge and Shallcross Clinic. We also were testing on the pavements and in the groups for Sugar levels and BP and maintaining a record so that should the same person come to the testing we are able to see if there have been any changes. In addition we offer Diabetes education and assistance to all who are willing for free, but should they want to know their cholesterol level we have to charge a minimum fee due to the high cost of Testing Strips. There are no known photo's of this work which has halted since the beginning of Covid lockdown, but which we hope to begin again in 2022, when the Government allows us to. So watch this space!
